Zombie Moon Updates

There’s a lot in the pipeline for Zombie Moon.  Amazon and Apple users – version 3.0.39 is awaiting review by Amazon and Apple which brings SQUAD CHAT back, and makes Zombie Moon available to Blackberry 10 players!

The promised refresh of the look and feel of the game is underway.  The video refill option so popular with Guts and Glory players will soon be making its appearance in Zombie Moon (yes, this means you can combine Quests, Tasks, Level Ups AND video refills for Energy stockpiles before wars!)  And a bonus daily collectible powerup for players with Elite status will replace the ad banner area (players who’ve made purchases automatically earn Elite status).

Then, later we’ll be looking at aISIS upgrades (later, you’ll power up your AI to boost your marine’s HP – as you donate to your squad, you’ll also be powering her up) and potentially an automated system permitting squad transfers from owner to deputy and squad boss combats!  It’s going to be a busy few months!

October Contest Winners!

On behalf of Snakehead games, I am pleased to announce the first winners of our monthly Social media contest!

This months winners were Gibman of zombie Moon and Alcina of Spy Battle, and both opted to receive 100$ worth of in game points!

Good luck in November, and happy hunting!

New Facebook Page, Sort of!

Here at Snakehead games, we pride ourselves as community builders, and we can admit when we have been overzealous. We love building communities so much that we’ve built way too many. On Facebook alone, we have a page for Zombie Moon, a page for Spy Battle, Star Pirates, Jewels & Gems, etc.

While we love providing places for our fans to mingle and connect, the sheer number of these pages prevents us from distributing content effectively, and clutters up your news feeds.

The Solution? One Page to rule them all!

Over the next 6 weeks, we will be closing most of our dedicated game pages, and shifting focus to our SHG Facebook page; one page, one source.

How do we incentivise this? Simple. For the next 3 months, we will choose one person from Facebook and one person from Twitter every month, who will win $50 cash! Also, if you’d rather have points, then we would give you 100$ worth of points in a game of your choice instead. To be eligible on Facebook, you must have liked the SHG page. To be eligible on Twitter, you must have followed or retweeted SHG. And don’t worry folks, the points and cash will be given out discreetly. We’re not about to reveal people’s secret identities.

Here’s the skinny on how the rules work.

  • If you have liked our page on Facebook, you get one ballot in the hat. If you’ve already liked our pages, awesome, and don’t worry, you’re getting in on this too.
  • For Twitter, it’s per follower and retweet.
  • If we find out you are using multiple accounts on a single platform, you’re banned from the contest, so play nice.
  • For each additional like you give our articles and posts, that’s an additional ballot in the hat.
  • Shares don’t count! Facebook doesn’t allow us to incentivise shares, but that being said, sharing our posts helps us out a great deal, so please, just share our posts anyways.
  • You have to be 18+ to enter.

Now, we will be holding this contest as per the Ontario Gaming Control act of 1992, which means there must be a skill testing question in order for it to avoid being classified as gambling.

If your name is drawn, you will be asked in private to answer a skill testing question to win, we’ll offer a verity of skill testing questions, because everyone has different strengths, and we’re not about to discriminate based on ability.

So, to recap: 50$ dollars a month is being given away on Facebook and Twiter each, you can engage on both platforms for more chances to win.  You enter by liking our pages, and your chances to win increase the more you retweet or like our posts.

So there’s the kicker folks, if you haven’t liked our SHG Facebook page yet, do it now.

ZM Updates in the Mix

Howdy-ho, our lovely players!

We just wanted to show loyal ZM Players another snippet from the upgraded game. This is a small, subtle change but one we like. Notice how the progress bars for drops are now segmented?  That way you can tell what remains, and what’s to come. A small but cool little feature.

More to come, with one more visual tapas up here for the end of the week.

Gates of Camelot! One Year Old!

gatesofcamelotGates of Camelot is now ONE YEAR OLD! Several changes have been added to the game to help celebrate.

Name Your Castle: all players can name their Castle via the Settings link. The Castle name is displayed to you and to others while the Castle owner has Honoured status. Remember, you can visit anyone’s castle by clicking the “Property : Castle” link on their profile.

Invasion Medals: new medals can be earned for recognizing total defenses of the realm. These are awarded while an invasion is underway and are checked from “lowest” to “highest”. A number of players are likely to see successive awarding of medals while participating in the next Invasion!

Registration and Login: a fresh, inviting look for the registration and login page has been applied.

Google+ Easy Registration: it’s never been easier to join Gates of Camelot – you can one-click register if you have an existing Google+ account. In the future, we plan to allow existing players to link their current account to Google+ (or later, Facebook) for easy connection.

Restricted Search – Fae Sword: a new unique sword can be found! This is an enchanted broadsword (see the updated Item Guide) – the finder will be able to give it a name. We will permit the finder to put in a ticket for item combining using “normal” broadswords to upgrade it as if it were itself a broadsword OR you may also substitute at a 2:1 ratio other VR items in lieu of a single broadsword for this purpose.
